Cheap units with clean linen, great shower and the bedroom, and the staff were attentive!

Hotel has no reception area as such and all arrivals have to enter the public bar to be checked in. The rooms were adequate but due to the location of an indian restaurant at the front of the hotel opening the window resulted in the room quickly smelling of cooking food. The breakfast was very nice but again served in the public bar with only one waitress on duty who was rushed off her feet. Due to everything being centred around the public bar I feel it is more suited for backpackers and the like as opposed to families.

The hotel was in the very central setting to a lovely golf course. What's more, it was short walk to the Falls, surrounding areas and Callander. The breakfast was satisfactory with the Stornaway black pudding, and the food was incredible.

A traditional hotel attached to a pub. Clean. Big spacious rooms. Across the road from a supermarket. Many restaurants surrounding the hotel. In the main street.
Our front street facing room was a bit noisy. The sun shone through the light coloured curtains.

Hotel in need of upgrading/decoration etc. Breakfast disappointing - very greasy and bacon very fatty and hard.

The hotel was very easy to find. There was no problem parking outside. We were only there for 12 hours, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty. The service was very good. For the first time ever for us in a small hotel, our luggage was carried up to the room on the second floor.
Breakfast was in the bar which was a little gloomy as there were no windows.

The room was lovely, very comfortable, the staff very courteous and it was so easy to find, parking etc. and we thought we might stay another night but at 9pm the entertainment began in the bar downstairs and the music was extremely loud from then until midnight. The next night there was going to be karaoke, so, no, we moved on. The breakfast was very good but served in the bar??
Only th loud music, had I known beforehand this would have put me off booking, yes I do like all sorts of music but not at this rate of decibels, sorry.

If available, request a room on a lower floor to avoid the noise from the bar late at night.

The friendliness of the staff and the location were excellent. Vicky makes the hotel what it is. Nothing is too much for her and is very helpful.
Some of the singers at Saturday nights karaoke. Young Thomas tone deaf lol. Up for a laugh.

Location for visit requirements, friendly staff, dedicated parking, food ok
room overlooked noisy public bar area, room was very shabby but adequate, bathroom beyond 'tired' looking, bathroom cupboard contained dabris including empty beer cans (probably still there)

A nice choice for a swift visit in Callander with very good value for money. The breakfast potato scones were cooked in a way, made them a bit too oily but still tasty. Make sure to check the cleanliness of the public facilities before settling in.
